The distribution and review of electronic assets requires coordination among authors and stakeholders. Conventional asset review involves printing multiple paper copies, adding mark ups via sticky notes, and distributing to additional reviewers by hand. This can lead to a number of problems including notes being lost in transit, disordered processing, an inefficient way to handle updated versions, and lack of feedback sharing among contributors.

 

Solution

Ensemble’s Shared Review is a robust solution for initiating and tracking ad-hoc reviews of electronic assets. Based on Adobe® LiveCycle® and Adobe® AIR®, Shared Review allows users to easily generate PDF documents from their image assets and send them to peers for mark-up and commenting. Reviewers can even document their feedback when disconnected from the internet; comments will simply synch up with the server as soon as a connection is re-established.

The solution utilizes the Shared Review capabilities available in both the free Adobe® Reader® and Adobe® Acrobat® and allows for the protection of assets such that only intended recipients can view, review, and mark up.
